KING’S CROSS YARD SALE
Fancy picking up a bargain? Then the authentic American-style Yard Sale at King’s Cross is the perfect place for you to be next Saturday (12 July).
Celebrating the neighourhood’s rich residential community, the Yard Sale, which will boast 30 plus stalls in theWest Handyside Canopy, will offer a fascinating mix of interesting vintage fashion, design and bric-a-brac.
There will also be American food and drinks to indulge in as well as decorations and a whole lot of funk and blues filling the airwaves all day long.
As if that wasn’t enough, professional lindy hop dancers will be running sessions throughout the day for those who want to watch – or even join in.
The event will run from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 12 July in the West Handyside Canopy, King’s Cross, N1C.
BATTLE BRIDGE BUSK
Busking has been part of the London cityscape for centuries and now you can get in the groove at King’s Cross.
As part of Battle Bridge Busk, enjoy a series of performances by street musicians including singers, violinists, beatboxers, drummers and guitarists, in the unique setting of Identified Flying Object (IFO) on Battle Bridge Place.
Performances started on Thursday (3 July) with a lunchtime performance by Richard Navarro. Sessions will continue every Thursday at 7.30am and 5pm, with lunchtime performances on Fridays starting at midday.
Give them your cheers, your tears, and your pennies if you like their tunes…
FLOATING CINEMA RETURNS
Artists and filmmakers Nina Pope and Karen Guthrie from creative organisation Somewhere are collaborating with UP Projects and the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) to put on three days of movies, workshops and music.
There will be on-board screenings and special director’s Q&As with the likes of Xiaolu Guo as well as Zombie mini makeovers and open air screenings and performances.
